The Immigration Museum was a complex project, being developed within the
heritage-listed former Customs House in central Melbourne. Extensive
restoration and renovation was involved, and the development of exhibits,
and public programs and facilities, including a restaurant and shop, were
carefully planned to complement the grandeur of the building.
